The Senior Government Partnerships & Task Order Specialist is a strategic, relationship-driven professional who knows how to turn government contract access into meaningful business opportunities. You’ll help expand our presence in the federal market by building strong relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, government stakeholders, and other strategic partners.

You’ll lead federal subcontracting and teaming efforts while helping maximize the value of awarded task orders, contract vehicles, and vendor pools. From identifying the right partners and staying connected with eligible buyers to recommending conferences, market opportunities, and pursuit strategies, you’ll help ensure we are consistently positioned for what’s next.

If you have deep government contracting experience, a strong network, and a talent for bringing the right people and opportunities together, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and development of strategic teaming partners and subcontractors for federal and SLED pursuits, with a strong focus on expanding our federal subcontracting network.
  • Own the teaming process end to end, including identifying strategic partners, coordinating NDAs and teaming agreements, and negotiating workshare and pricing terms.
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, government stakeholders, contracting professionals, eligible buyers, and other strategic partners.
  • Oversee awarded contract vehicles, task orders, and vendor pools, ensuring registrations, renewals, modifications, reporting, and compliance requirements remain current and in good standing.
  • Monitor client portals, forecasts, and procurement activity for upcoming task orders; advise on bid and go/no-go decisions; and help shape capture and pricing strategies for priority opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to activate awarded vehicles and increase utilization through ongoing engagement with eligible buyers, government stakeholders, and strategic partners.
  • Identify and recommend conferences, government meetings, industry events, and priority markets where relationship development can strengthen our position and support growth.
  • Advise leadership on federal subcontracting, teaming, and partnership strategies that can strengthen pursuits and expand access to new government business.
  • Evaluate pipeline, win rates, task order activity, vehicle utilization, partnership activity, and compliance to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with business development and proposal teams to shape capture strategies and transition qualified opportunities into competitive proposal efforts.

📚 What do You Need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Government, Contract Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in federal government contracting, government business development, capture, teaming, subcontracting, task order management, contract vehicle management, or a related field.
  • Deep experience with federal subcontracting and developing strategic teaming relationships.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships that have supported federal contract pursuits and generated new business opportunities.
  • Experience leading or managing task orders and awarded government contract vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of federal procurement processes, prime/subcontractor relationships, and government contracting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of contract vehicles such as IDIQs, MACs, GSA MAS, statewide contracts, vendor pools, and similar procurement vehicles.
  • Strong familiarity with FAR and federal subcontracting requirements.
  • Experience influencing capture strategy, bid and go/no-go decisions, pricing, and proposal development.
  • Experience negotiating teaming arrangements, workshare, pricing, or other partnership terms.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the credibility to engage government stakeholders, contracting professionals, prime contractors, and senior business leaders.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to identify market opportunities, develop partnership strategies, and recommend paths to new business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple high-value relationships, opportunities, and contract vehicles.
  • A proactive, growth-oriented approach to government business development and relationship management.
