💎 Who is the Junior Government Partnerships & Task Order Specialist?

 

The Junior Government Partnerships & Task Order Specialist is a relationship-driven professional who knows how to turn government connections into meaningful business opportunities. You’ll help grow our presence in the federal market by developing strong relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, government stakeholders, and other strategic partners.


You’ll manage and support federal subcontracting and teaming activity while helping maximize opportunities across awarded task orders, contract vehicles, and vendor pools. From identifying potential partners and staying connected with eligible buyers to researching conferences, market opportunities, and upcoming pursuits, you’ll play an important role in keeping us visible, connected, and positioned for new business.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Identify, research, and engage potential teaming partners and subcontractors for federal and SLED pursuits, with a strong focus on federal subcontracting.
  • Coordinate the teaming process by supporting partner outreach, NDAs, teaming agreements, partnership documentation, and workshare and pricing discussions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, government stakeholders, contracting professionals, eligible buyers, and other strategic partners.
  • Manage day-to-day activity for awarded contract vehicles, task orders, and vendor pools, including tracking registrations, renewals, modifications, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor client portals, forecasts, and procurement activity for upcoming task orders; gather information to support bid and go/no-go decisions; and assist with capture and pricing activities.
  • Help activate awarded vehicles through consistent outreach and follow-up with eligible buyers, government stakeholders, and partners while coordinating efforts with internal teams.
  • Research relevant conferences, government meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities and coordinate participation as needed.
  • Research potential federal subcontracting, teaming, and partnership opportunities and bring recommendations forward to support pursuit decisions.
  • Track pipeline, win rates, task order activity, contract vehicle utilization, partnership activity, deadlines, and compliance and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate with business development and proposal teams to keep qualified opportunities organized and moving through the capture and proposal process.

 







📚 What do You Need?


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Government, Contract Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in federal government contracting, government business development, capture, teaming, subcontracting, task order management, contract vehicle management, or a related field.
  • Experience with federal subcontracting and developing or supporting teaming relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, government stakeholders, or other partners supporting government pursuits.
  • Experience managing or supporting task orders and awarded government contract vehicles.
  • Working knowledge of federal procurement processes, prime/subcontractor relationships, and government contracting requirements.
  • Familiarity with contract vehicles such as IDIQs, MACs, GSA MAS, statewide contracts, vendor pools, and similar procurement vehicles.
  • Familiarity with FAR and federal subcontracting requirements.
  • Experience supporting capture activities, bid decisions, pricing, proposal development, or related government business development efforts.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the confidence to initiate conversations and engage government stakeholders, contracting professionals, prime contractors, and prospective partners.
  • Ability to research potential partners and business opportunities and communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple relationships, opportunities, contract vehicles, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
  • A proactive approach to relationship management and business development.
  • Ability to work effectively across business development, proposal, leadership, and agency teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically for government meetings, conferences, industry events, and relationship development.
