What we’re looking for

  • Leo Berwick is looking for a Vice President – Financial Modeling to join our growing Infrastructure, Renewables and Energy Transition Financial Advisory Practice with a focus on leading financial modeling for mid-market infrastructure investors.Short blurb on ideal profile for this opportunity

What you'll do

  • Create greenfield models and operate deal financial models for M&A transactions. Ensure models are accurate, robust, and tailored to the specific needs of each transaction.
  • Use excel-based formulaic review software to identify structural and formula risks in sell-side M&A transaction models.
  • Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies, including cash flow, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations that effectively communicate financial model findings, transaction insights, and strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their transaction objectives, provide expert guidance on financial modeling. Continuously enhance modeling techniques and methodologies to improve accuracy and relevance.
  • Work closely with other team members, such as legal and tax, to ensure alignment and integration of financial models with broader transaction processes and strategies.
  • Conduct rigorous reviews and validations of financial models to ensure they meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

What you bring

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required
  • CPA, CFA or comparable professional certification preferred
  • Completion of internal or external financial modeling training courses preferred
  • Experience with a start-up organization and/or a large professional services organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A self-starter who is comfortable working remotely and in an unsupervised environment
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • The successful candidates must be able to travel within Canada and the USADescribe the experience and qualifications
