Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Architect (Manager) to lead the design, implementation, and governance of the organization’s enterprise data architecture. This role will initially manage one direct report, with the potential to expand as the data function grows. The Data Architect will partner with business, engineering, and compliance stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and integrated data platforms that enable analytics, reporting, compliance, and business operations. The Data Architect will report directly to the Director, Enterprise Applications & Data.


The Qualifications We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent years’ experience). Masters preferred.  
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management. 
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data stacks (e.g., ELT tools, DBT, Kafka, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). 
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional data teams. 
  • Strong understanding of data modeling (OLTP/OLAP), APIs, and system integration. 
  • Familiarity with data privacy and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS). 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience with AI/ML, predictive analytics, or advanced data science applications. 
  • Professional certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or TOGAF (for architecture frameworks) preferred.

The Value You Deliver 

  • Define and implement the organization’s enterprise data architecture, including data models, pipelines, and platform strategy. 
  • Lead the design of integrations between internal platforms (e.g., Salesforce, CX platforms) and third-party systems. 
  • Establish and enforce standards for data quality, metadata management, lineage, and classification. 
  • Partner with engineering, security, and compliance teams to align data practices with privacy, retention, and access control policies. 
  • Support compliance with frameworks and regulations including SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS. 
  • Lead data risk reviews, support vendor onboarding, and ensure audit readiness from a technical standpoint. 
  • Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts, and specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. 
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable various team members, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development. 
  • Drive adoption of data best practices and promote a data-driven culture across the organization. 
  • Provide thought leadership on modern data stacks, cloud data architecture, and advanced analytics. 
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise data platforms. 
  • Evaluate and implement modern data technologies (ELT tools, DBT, Kafka, cloud-native services) to optimize performance and scalability. 
  • Support enterprise analytics, AI/ML use cases, and enterprise-wide data warehousing initiatives.
