Why This Role Matters


The Lawn Care Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality lawn care and landscape maintenance services to Loving’s residential and commercial clients. This role directly impacts customer satisfaction by ensuring every property is maintained with precision, professionalism, and pride. Lawn Care Technicians embody our standards of quality, safety, and customer care while working as part of a dedicated crew in the field.


What Success Looks Like

  • Perform routine lawn care services, including mowing, trimming, edging, aeration, overseeding, and related sod maintenance tasks
  • Apply lawn care products such as fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and disease control treatments using spray rigs, spreaders, and other application equipment
  • Follow detailed treatment programs and application schedules to ensure proper timing, rates, and coverage for all lawn care and spray services
  • Inspect customer properties to identify lawn health issues, including weeds, insects, diseases, bare spots, and irrigation or soil problems
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain spray equipment, spreaders, and other lawn care tools to ensure accurate and safe product application
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and relevant regulations for handling, mixing, storing, and applying lawn care chemicals
  • Communicate professionally with customers on-site to explain services performed, answer basic lawn care questions, and provide recommendations for ongoing care
  • Document services completed, materials used, and site conditions using company forms or mobile applications
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust application timing and techniques as needed to protect sod health and ensure safe, effective treatments
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing products, tools, and equipment on service vehicles and in storage areas
  • Perform daily inspection and basic maintenance of vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues or needed repairs promptly
  • Support teammates and supervisors with special projects such as renovations, seeding, or corrective treatments as assigned


What Sets You Apart

  • 2+ years of experience in landscaping, lawn care, or related outdoor maintenance roles.
  • Strong work ethic with a personal pride in how yards and landscapes look.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in heat and other conditions.
  • Experience operating lawn care equipment and safely handling trucks with 17–21 ft. trailers.
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to pass a DOT Medical Exam and a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
