Family Practitioner or Pediatrician (MD/DO) – Telehealth PRN (1099)


Location: Texas (Remote)
Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor, PRN

Position Summary

MindCare Solutions is seeking a Texas-licensed Family Practitioner or Pediatrician (MD/DO) with experience caring for adolescents to provide telehealth medical services for patients enrolled in an adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This PRN role is responsible for completing medical admissions, performing medical clearance evaluations, and managing medication orders to ensure patients are medically appropriate for participation in the program.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct telehealth medical evaluations for adolescent patients upon admission to the Partial Hospitalization Program.
  • Perform comprehensive medical clearance evaluations.
  • Obtain and review medical histories, current medications, allergies, and relevant medical conditions.
  • Prescribe, review, and manage medications as clinically appropriate.
  • Complete admission documentation and medication orders in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support continuity of care.
  • Refer patients for additional medical evaluation or treatment when clinically indicated.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and organizational policies and standards of care.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine or Pediatrics.
  • Experience providing medical care to adolescents.
  • Active, unrestricted Texas medical license.
  • Active DEA registration.
  • Previous telehealth experience is preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills..

Schedule

  • PRN, 1099 Independent Contractor.
  • Telehealth (Remote).
  • Schedule to be determined and mutually agreed upon by both parties.
