About the role

The AI Solutions Builder is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing AI-driven solutions and automation workflows that enhance institutional operations and user experience. This role focuses on translating business needs into scalable technical solutions using low-code/no-code platforms, integrations, and AI-enabled technologies.

Working under the direction of the AI Product & Automation Lead, the position contributes to the execution of the AI @ MUST roadmap by building intelligent automations, system integrations, and AI agents that drive efficiency, data utilization, and process improvement across departments.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using low-code/no-code and integration platforms.
• Architect and implement system integrations across institutional platforms (e.g., LMS, SIS, service management, and productivity tools).
• Configure and deploy AI-powered solutions, including chatbots, virtual assistants, and AI agents.
• Engineer and optimize prompts and logic for LLM-based applications to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Develop and test AI-assisted solutions using modern development environments and automation tools.
• Administer and continuously improve the institutional Knowledge Base to support AI systems and self-service capabilities.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to automation workflows and AI tools (Level 2 support).
• Analyze system performance and usage data, generating reports and insights for continuous improvement.
• Identify automation opportunities by collaborating with stakeholders and analyzing business processes.
• Contribute to institutional AI initiatives, including participation in AI Champions network and AI @ MUST portal development.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Equivalent hands-on experience in automation and AI solutions may substitute for formal education.

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in automation, system integration, low-code development, or AI solutions implementation.
• Experience designing and deploying workflows in at least one automation or integration platform.
• Exposure to AI tools, chatbot configuration, or AI-driven applications.
• Experience working with APIs, integrations, or data exchange processes preferred.
• Experience in higher education environment is a plus.

Language Skills

• Proficiency (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) in English. Portuguese or Spanish preferred.
