We are a fast-moving, nimble company looking for individuals who are collaborative, empathetic, driven and who love to move at the speed of light. If you want to be part of the AVD transformation that Microsoft and Nerdio are leading, then we want to speak with you.

About the role

As a Public Sector Account Executive, you will own Nerdio's growth across UK and Ireland Local Government and Blue Light (police, fire and ambulance) organisations.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a dedicated and strategically important territory, shape our go-to-market approach and play a meaningful role in Nerdio's next phase of growth across UKI. We are looking for someone who can take an entrepreneurial approach to building a territory, developing relationships and creating new business opportunities.

You will work closely with Microsoft's public sector sales teams, including Cloud Solutions Architects, Azure Specialists, Global Black Belts, Enterprise Channel Managers and Account Technology Specialists, alongside our strategic channel partners. Together, you will identify opportunities to help public sector organisations modernise their end-user computing environments, leveraging Microsoft technologies including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, Intune and AVD hybrid.

You will position Nerdio as a strategic enabler of that journey, helping customers simplify management, optimise costs, strengthen resilience and improve operational efficiency. Alignment with Microsoft and our channel ecosystem is essential, but equally important is your ability to engage directly with customers, understand their challenges and demonstrate meaningful business value.

We are looking for a highly skilled, partnership-led seller who builds strong relationships, understands the end-user computing landscape and can navigate complex public sector sales cycles. Public sector buying cycles, frameworks and governance requirements are different from commercial sales, so you will bring experience of navigating them and an ability to engage stakeholders across IT, security, finance and senior leadership.

Integrity means everything to us, so you do what you say you are going to do. You will coordinate with colleagues across the wider team and use your excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills to do it.

Territory and segment focus reflects our current go-to-market structure and may change from time to time as the business evolves.

  • Build, manage and close pipeline, maintaining 3x coverage of your assigned quota.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft and its public sector sales teams, developing joint account plans and identifying opportunities to grow the partnership and revenue.
  • Develop relationships with strategic channel partners, collaborating on account planning, opportunity creation and joint go-to-market activities.
  • Use a consultative, partnership-led selling approach to uncover, qualify and close opportunities across AVD, Windows 365 and the wider Nerdio portfolio.
  • Navigate public sector procurement routes, including frameworks and partner-led buying, working with channel partners to get deals over the line.
  • Engage senior IT, security, finance and operational stakeholders to understand their strategic priorities, build compelling business cases and demonstrate the financial, operational and risk-reduction value of Nerdio's solutions.
  • Communicate Nerdio's value proposition, capabilities and benefits clearly, connecting our technology to the business outcomes that matter most to public sector organisations.
  • Work closely with the wider sales, technical, channel and Microsoft alliance teams to develop and execute strategies to meet targets.
  • Participate in field events with partners and Microsoft counterparts to nurture relationships, create demand and drive business in your territory.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met and projects are delivered successfully.
  • Demonstrate integrity and follow through on commitments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, public sector priorities, product knowledge and sales techniques.
