The opportunity

We are seeking a driven and analytical Senior SEO/GEO Analyst to join the Performance IO team. In this role, you will support global healthcare brands in improving their visibility across Google Search, AI-powered search experiences, and answer engines.

Working closely with SEO Managers, Content Strategists, Performance Analysts, Technical SEO Specialists, and Account teams, you will help develop data-driven recommendations and deliver measurable organic growth. This role is ideal for someone who has built a solid SEO foundation and is excited about how AI is transforming the future of search.

As part of our growing global agency, you will contribute to both traditional SEO initiatives and emerging search optimisation strategies, including Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO). You will work across international healthcare and pharmaceutical accounts, helping clients improve their discoverability, authority, and performance across evolving search ecosystems.


What will you be doing?


As a Senior SEO/GEO Analyst, you will support global healthcare brands in improving their visibility across Google Search, AI-powered search experiences, and answer engines. Collaborating closely with SEO Managers, Content Strategists, Performance Analysts, Technical SEO Specialists, and Account teams, you will leverage data-driven insights to drive measurable organic growth.


Your key responsibilities will include:


GEO & AEO Optimisation:

  • Conduct research and optimisation activities focused on Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO).
  • Identify opportunities to improve content visibility within AI-generated search results and answer engines.
  • Analyse AI search experiences and provide recommendations to improve brand discoverability.
  • Support content optimisation initiatives aimed at increasing authority, trust, and topical relevance.

    Technical SEO:
  • Conduct technical SEO audits and identify issues impacting organic performance.
  • Use tools such as Screaming Frog SEO Spider to analyse website health.
  • Review crawlability, indexation, site architecture, redirects, canonicalisation, and internal linking.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement SEO recommendations.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from an SEO perspective.

    Keyword Research & Content Strategy:
  • Perform keyword research using industry-leading SEO tools.
  • Identify search trends, user intent, and content opportunities.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and content gap assessments.
  • Support content audits and content optimisation recommendations.
  • Create content briefs aligned with SEO, GEO, and AEO best practices.

    On-Page SEO:
  • Ensure pages align with search intent and target keyword themes.
  • Support schema and structured data recommendations.
  • Optimise title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, and content structure.

    Reporting & Analysis:
  • Monitor rankings, organic traffic, and visibility trends.
  • Prepare client-ready reports and actionable insights.
  • Support forecasting and opportunity analysis initiatives.
  • Analyse performance data from Google Search Console, GA4, Adobe and other reporting platforms.


What experience and qualifications do you need?

Experience:

  • 3–4 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably within a digital marketing or agency environment.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise with proven experience conducting technical audits, identifying issues, prioritising recommendations, and supporting implementation across complex websites.
  • Deep understanding of crawlability, indexation, rendering, site architecture, internal linking, redirects, XML sitemaps, robots directives, structured data, and JavaScript SEO.
  • Experience using SEO tools such as Screaming Frog SEO Spider, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to diagnose issues and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Solid understanding of core SEO disciplines, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, content strategy, and search intent. Experience conducting competitor analysis, content audits, and identifying organic growth opportunities.
  • Ability to analyse large datasets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to effectively communicate technical requirements to development teams.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to translate SEO insights into actionable recommendations that support measurable organic growth.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Desirable Experience:

  • Exposure to Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), AI Search, or AI-driven content optimisation.
  • Experience working within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
  • Understanding of E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) and YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) content principles.
  • Experience implementing, validating, and troubleshooting structured data to support enhanced search visibility and AI-powered search experiences.
