Organizing Staff - Multiple Levels

ABOUT RELENTLESS

Relentless designs and executes scaled relational organizing programs using our in-house software, Rally. We build programs and technology that unlock the political power of the relationships people already have — reaching voters where they are and tapping the full potential of existing networks. Relentless has powered programs for campaigns, PACs, and organizations across the country, proving that relational organizing works at scale.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This cycle, we’re running Rally Organizing programs that compensate tens of thousands of low-turnout voters for their time as they learn about upcoming elections and mobilize and persuade their friends and family to vote.

We are excited about finding the right people and building a team that supports and reflects the skills and experience of the people who make it up. To achieve that, we are open to folks of a variety of experience levels to fill roles that fall under the below categories. We might hire one senior person, a few more junior people, or some combo for each of these workstreams.

  • Organizing Team Management - We’re looking for folks who are excited about wrangling a large number of wonderful, enthusiastic part-time staff who lead virtual events and take shifts in our texting inbox. Think camp counselor energy; delighting over an emoji-filled update in Slack, thinking creatively and strategically about management structures and logistics for keeping a team of 100+ part-time staff trained, scheduled, and supported. Come build the team management structure of your dreams and give new organizers the experience you wish you had starting out.
  • Coalitions & Partnerships Organizing - We want to share electoral resources and funding with organizations already on the ground providing support, aid, and services to their communities, year round. We're looking for people interested in partnering with nonprofits, mutual aid groups, and other community organizations, to offer this opportunity to the people they serve while also lifting up the organization itself. We have volunteer capacity to contribute to mutual aid and community service projects, and we're looking for individuals to lead that effort. Experience working with organizations in Texas is a strong plus.
  • Innovating Volunteer Organizing -  We’re working with a large coordinated campaign to leverage traditional volunteer and cold-contact capacity to recruit for our paid relational program. If you've worked with scaled, distributed programs and are excited to wield that infrastructure to recruit low-turnout voters for a civic education and turnout program, you're our person. You'd thrive on prompts like: "We need volunteers to build their own flyering teams and hit community colleges across the state," or "Figure out how to put all these social-media-hungry volunteers to work." You'd own projects like these end to end — making the plan, recruiting and training volunteers, advocating for what you need from leadership, and iterating as you go along.
  • Voter Education & Protection - We’re looking for folks who are passionate about voter education and protection to spearhead efforts to create clear, accessible voter education research and communications and help stand up a voter assistance textline to support participants. This is perfect for someone who has worked in VoPro, interacted with voter protection hotlines, who has always wanted to, or has gone valiantly rogue in the past figuring out how to make sure voters you were interacting with had the info they needed to vote.
  • Organizing Copywriter - We are looking for someone to make complicated policy issues and voting guidance super simple, accessible, and actionable in copy for a range of mediums. Think: friendly, positive, empowering, matter-of-fact, educational, and straightforward. We're excited about the impact participants will make, and we always assume that a refresher explanation is helpful.

HOW TO APPLY
