Position Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Manager to lead our technology operations and drive strategic initiatives. In this role, you will oversee internal IT, ensuring the effective delivery of services, systems, and infrastructure to support our business objectives. As a salary guide, we are looking to offer between $100,000 - $130,000 AUD pa.

Key Responsibilities

·       Oversee IT service delivery, including establishing and monitoring service level agreements (SLAs), quality systems, performance reporting, escalation protocols, and support cost control.

·       Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure high-quality, user-centric support and continuous staff development.

·       Maintain oversight and lifecycle management of group assets in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.), including inventory accuracy, access controls, cost optimization, governance, and compliance with security and audit requirements.

·       Lead cloud governance frameworks and drive continuous improvement in cloud practices, collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and project teams for effective design, deployment, and operational management.

·       Stay abreast of emerging technologies, participate in change control, and coordinate IT system upgrades in alignment with best practices and organizational needs.

Experience and Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

·       Proven experience in IT management or a similar role, with a strong focus on leadership.

·       Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure, network security, and cloud computing.

·       Experience in project management with a solid track record of successful project delivery.

·       Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Who you are

The ideal IT Manager for this Sydney based role brings 5-7 years’ demonstrated experience across hands-on IT operations and strategic leadership, ideally within multi-site or international environments. You have a proven track record implementing robust infrastructure and security frameworks, and overseeing vendor and supplier relationships. You know how to drive service quality, compliance, and business continuity through data protection, SLA measurement, and process improvement. Your technical scope covers service desk, infrastructure (cloud, networks, end-user computing), and IT service management (ITIL or similar frameworks), supported by a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

As a leader, this person inspires engagement through, clear communication, and a user-focused approach. Respected for your integrity and ability to build trust across technical and non-technical audiences, you proactively navigate change, foster collaboration with business stakeholders and suppliers, and adapt quickly to evolving technologies.
