About the role

The Warehouse Operations Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations supporting Sharetown's reverse logistics and mattress compaction program. This role owns inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, quality control, shipping readiness, and compaction workflow to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

Compensation: $28- $30/ hourly
Schedule: Full time

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Ensure all inventory is properly labeled, tracked, and stored.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound inventory movements.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy goals and minimize lost or misplaced inventory.

Warehouse Organization

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
  • Optimize warehouse layout to maximize storage capacity and workflow efficiency.
  • Stage inventory according to operational priorities.
  • Monitor warehouse capacity and recommend improvements.

Quality Control

  • Inspect inbound inventory for quality and packaging compliance.
  • Verify inventory meets compaction requirements before processing.
  • Audit compacted products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify recurring quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality metrics and communicate trends to leadership.

Compaction Operations

  • Coordinate daily workflow for the mattress compaction machine.
  • Prioritize inventory to maximize machine utilization.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure all compaction activities follow established safety and operating procedures.
  • Communicate equipment issues that impact production.
  • Order materials for the compaction process

Shipping & Logistics

  • Prepare inventory for outbound shipments.
  • Ensure shipments are accurately documented and staged for loading.
  • Verify packaging meets transportation standards.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Reduce unnecessary handling and improve inventory flow.
  • Recommend cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.

Communication

  • Serve as the primary onsite contact for warehouse operations.
  • Communicate inventory status, operational challenges, and quality concerns to leadership.
  • Participate in operational meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, transportation partners, and remote operations teams.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with all company safety policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections.
  • Ensure proper operation of warehouse equipment.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Basic computer skills and comfortable learning new software systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to become certified.
