Job Title: Senior Technical Program Manager

Experience: 8+ years

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Japan (Remote)

As a Senior Technical Program Manager reporting to the Group Technical Program Manager, you'll lead end-to-end delivery of Sibros software programs in the connectivity domain, including telematics, OTA, data platform, and connected vehicle features. You'll coordinate cross-functional engineering teams, manage suppliers and customers, and drive program execution from development through production maturity, balancing technical understanding, execution discipline, and customer-facing communication. Success in this role looks like on-time releases that meet quality standards, strong customer relationships, program costs and effort within budget, minimal escalations, and smooth production readiness.

What you'll do:

  • Own Program Delivery: Lead delivery of connectivity software programs (telematics, OTA, data platform, connected vehicle features) from planning through production release, hitting scope, timing, and quality targets.
  • Manage Program Schedules: Build and track schedules, milestones, and dependencies across software, validation, and integration teams, and drive timely resolution of bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate Engineering Delivery: Align technical deliverables with program goals across embedded, backend, cloud, and mobile teams, and track feature readiness, testing progress, and integration maturity.
  • Drive Release Readiness: Support design and release planning for software updates and version management, and coordinate system-level validation to confirm readiness for customer testing and production rollout.
  • Manage Suppliers and Partners: Track supplier commitments, integration packages, and software drops, and run technical and program reviews to keep delivery and quality compliance on track.
  • Own Customer Coordination: Serve as the single point of contact for customer program coordination, running regular status updates, milestone reviews, and risk assessments with customer teams.
  • Drive Customer Satisfaction: Communicate transparently and proactively on issues and changes, and deliver consistent, responsive program execution that builds customer trust.
  • Track Program Financials: Monitor program budgets, effort utilization, and change requests, and support cost estimation, resource planning, and profitability tracking.
  • Manage Program Risk: Identify risks early in the program lifecycle, define mitigation actions, maintain risk and issue logs, and drive decisions on scope or timeline changes with stakeholders.
  • Support Onsite Deployments: Travel to customer sites as needed (approximately 30% domestic travel) for workshops, testing, go-lives, and product support.

What you should know:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Program Management Experience: 8+ years of experience in software program or project management, preferably in automotive connectivity, telematics, IoT, or SDV domains.
  • Japanese Fluency: Fluent Japanese communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Multi-Team Delivery: Proven track record managing software delivery involving multiple teams or suppliers.
  • Technical Depth: Good understanding of connected vehicle architecture, OTA frameworks, cloud-device communication, and software integration, validation, and release management.
  • Execution Discipline: Strong planning and execution skills with a delivery-focused mindset.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Financial and analytical skills for tracking budgets and program health.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Collaborative leadership and problem-solving ability in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OEM/Tier-1 Experience: Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
  • Certification: PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Compensation: A package inclusive of performance incentives.
  • Growth Environment: A dynamic work environment with a flat hierarchy and rapid career advancement.
  • Learning & Development: Access to continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible working hours and a culture that promotes balance.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health insurance and wellness programs.
  • Modern Policy: Flexible vacation and paid time off, you decide when you need a break.
  • Team Culture: Regular team events, off-sites, and a budget for online courses, books, and conferences.
