About the role

Smarthost Design Technologies is seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to support a U.S. Army organization located at Fort Novosel, Alabama. This position is onsite and contingent upon contract award.

The selected candidate will manage IT operations, helpdesk support, Active Directory administration, lifecycle replacement, classroom technology support, and mobility device management in a secure Army environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage helpdesk operations and ensure all tickets are resolved within 72 hours
  • Administer Active Directory accounts and group permissions
  • Manage Army365 licenses and accounts
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all IT equipment and automation systems
  • Manage annual lifecycle replacement process in accordance with Army purchasing procedures
  • Oversee warranty repairs and equipment replacement
  • Support and maintain 26 classroom audio visual systems
  • Manage mobility devices and ensure mission capable status
  • Ensure compliance with Army and DoD IT security policies

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Active U.S. Secret clearance at time of application
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Information Technology and or Project Management roles
  • Experience managing Active Directory user and computer accounts
  • Experience with Windows group permissions
  • Experience troubleshooting printers, hardware, and software
  • Experience writing and troubleshooting PowerShell scripts for Windows 11 and Office 365
  • Experience managing IT lifecycle replacement programs and warranty tracking
  • Experience working in DoD or Army environments preferred
