IT & Security Operations Intern

About Studyfetch

StudyFetch is the #1 AI-native learning platform globally, transforming how millions of students learn through personalized AI-powered education. We’re growing fast with backing from top-tier investors and a mission that’s redefining the future of education and ethical learning.

About the role

StudyFetch is hiring an IT & Security Operations Intern to keep our people, devices and systems running as the team grows. You'll work directly with our engineer who owns IT, access and compliance, and you'll be the first person new hires meet when they need a laptop, an account or help getting unblocked.

StudyFetch builds AI-native learning products: StudyFetch for students and Honen for workforce training. We move fast, we're adding people every month, and we lean hard on AI tooling to get work done. This role is hands-on from week one.

What you'll do

  • Onboard new hires end to end. Create Google Workspace and Slack accounts, then provision the tools each role needs (Claude, Honen, Mixpanel, RevenueCat, Granola, our support system, our password manager and more). Coordinate office keycards and parking with building management.
  • Set up and track hardware. Order, image and hand off MacBooks, sometimes 15 at a time for an incoming intern class, and keep the device inventory current.
  • Offboard cleanly. Remove access across every system when someone leaves, and help teams that offboard people in bulk do it without manual one-by-one work.
  • Handle access requests. Triage asks for GitHub repos, Google Cloud roles, storage buckets and admin-console changes, apply least privilege, and close the loop with the requester.
  • Keep us compliant. Work in Vanta to get new hires through security training and device setup within the 14-day SLA, chase failing tests, and pull evidence for audits.
Manage SaaS seats and vendors. Track who uses which tools, push seat adoption where we have targets, and maintain our vendor and app inventory.
  • Automate the repetitive stuff. Use our internal AI agent and Claude to script the tasks above, and ship small internal tools on our internal deploy platform.
  • Support the team. Be the go-to for day-to-day IT questions, prep machines for customer demos and events, and document fixes so they don't need to be solved twice.

  • Currently enrolled in or recently finished a degree or program in CS, IT, information systems, cybersecurity or similar
  • Comfortable on macOS and the command line
  • Organized and reliable with sensitive things like credentials and access lists Clear, friendly communicator who follows up without being chased
  • Already uses AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or similar) to work faster
Nice to have
  • Google Workspace admin, Okta or other SSO experience
  • Exposure to Google Cloud, Cloudflare or GitHub org management
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 or compliance platforms like Vanta or Drata
  • Experience with MDM or Mac fleet management
  • Some scripting in Python, Bash or TypeScript
