  • Partner with leaders to address performance concerns, conduct workplace investigations, and prepare clear, timely documentation.
  • Guide managers through corrective action, performance improvement plans, employee separations, and other employment decisions in partnership with the Director of HR.
  • Support onboarding, employee changes, job transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes through Rippling.
  • Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation, and state-specific leave requirements.
  • Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across SWAG’s multi-state operations.
  • Support performance review, engagement, recognition, training, and leadership-development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records, HR reports, and employee-relations documentation.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on onboarding, staffing needs, and workforce planning.
  • Travel periodically to SWAG distribution centers to support leaders and employees.

What You Bring

  • Three to five years of progressive HR Generalist experience; distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or multi-site operations experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employee relations, corrective action, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, wage-and-hour practices, and employment-law compliance.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential matters professionally.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a practical and employee-centered approach.
  • Ability to build credibility with frontline employees, supervisors, and senior leaders.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling experience is a plus.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification preferred.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Employee Relations Resolution: Timely, consistent resolution and documentation of employee-relations matters, investigations, corrective actions, and accommodation requests.
  • Manager Support & Training: Completion of manager coaching, documentation support, and assigned leadership training initiatives.

  • Employee Experience & Retention: Support improved new-hire retention, employee engagement, and a positive, responsive HR experience across SWAG locations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel periodically to distribution centers, hiring events, and community recruiting activities.
