Position Overview

We are seeking a Move Management Coordinator to support DHS/FPS with facility moves, relocations, seating changes, workspace transitions, and related coordination activities.

The coordinator will help plan and execute moves while ensuring that space, personnel, equipment, schedules, stakeholders, and facility requirements are properly coordinated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employee and organizational moves, relocations, and workspace changes.
  • Develop move plans, schedules, checklists, and coordination materials.
  • Gather and validate personnel, seating, equipment, and space requirements.
  • Coordinate move activities with FPS personnel, facilities teams, vendors, movers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support space assignments and seating plans.
  • Track move-related actions, issues, dependencies, and completion status.
  • Conduct move coordination meetings and maintain action-item logs.
  • Support site visits and pre-move/post-move assessments.
  • Coordinate furniture, equipment, IT, access, signage, and other move-related requirements as applicable.
  • Identify move risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare status reports and management briefings.
  • Support post-move reconciliation and closeout.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Active project management certification — required.
  • Experience with relocation, move management, workplace planning, facilities coordination, or project coordination.
  • Strong organizational, communication, scheduling, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent move activities.

Location / Work Arrangement

Position supports DHS/FPS facilities in the Northern Virginia / Washington, DC metropolitan area and may require onsite support
