About the Role:

As an Account Manager on our Employee Benefits team , you'll be on the front lines of providing the TBG Gold Standard of service to our clients. You'll be a strategic business partner to HR teams, CFOs, and employees navigating the intricacies of the employee benefits landscape. You will work alongside our advisors and be primarily responsible for overseeing management of assigned accounts, providing consultation to our clients, insurance program design, carrier interface/marketing, managing enrollments and continued support, and being a strategic resource to internal and external clients.

This role is hybrid with 3 days in offer a week preferred. This schedule can be flexible.


What You'll Do:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to every client in our book of business, including but not limited to:
    • Conducting consistent, well-prepared meetings on a regular cadence
    • Identifying core business challenges each client faces and delivering practical solutions
    • Driving client retention through deliberate, thoughtful action
    • Capturing, organizing, and maintaining relationship intelligence with precision
  • Maintain current expertise in employee benefits plan structures, riders, compliance obligations, regulatory changes, and market trends.
  • Proactively lead the renewal and open enrollment process, keeping clients informed throughout.
  • Act as an educator and resource for clients and their employees
  • Manage the end-to-end service workflow for our EB book of business
  • Pursue ongoing development through training, industry reading, and coursework that supports earning or maintaining professional designations
  • Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the lead broker/producer


What We Look For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, BA or BS degree preferred
  • Experience managing a team preferred but not required
  • Experience serving all funding models. Level funded, Self-insured, and fully insured groups
  • 4-6 Years of Employee Benefits Account Management experience
  • Active Illinois Life and Health License
  • Experiencing working with decision makers and C-level executives
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with Applied EPIC agency management system
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced production environment

Disclosure required in Illinois: The For Candidates located in Illinois, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be $75,000 - $92,000/year base salary. Total compensation for this position may also include equity, bonus, and employee benefits.
