Engineering Supervisor

At Drift, we believe hospitality is more than a place to stay—it's an experience. We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Engineering Supervisor to lead the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of Drift Nashville. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in their work, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to support the team and the guest experience.

As Engineering Supervisor, you'll work closely with the General Manager to maintain the property's physical condition, oversee preventative maintenance programs, coordinate vendor projects, and ensure our spaces remain safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and team members alike.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily engineering and maintenance operations throughout the hotel.
  • Perform and oversee preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms and public areas.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, appliances, and other building systems.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Coordinate vendor projects, obtain bids, and assist with project management and capital improvements.
  • Maintain the appearance of guest corridors, public spaces, and exterior areas.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure work orders are documented and completed through property management software.
  • Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Front Desk, and hotel leadership to support daily operations.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and department planning.
  • Develop and maintain engineering SOPs and quality control procedures.
  • Coach, support, and hold team members accountable to performance expectations.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional guest service.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous engineering or maintenance leadership experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and general building systems.
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and property improvement projects.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond calmly to unexpected situations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable using property management systems, work order software, and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent walking, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely use maintenance tools, ladders, and equipment.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the property for extended periods.
