Role Mission

We are seeking a skilled Mid Fullstack Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll help build and maintain critical systems for UJV, including CRM systems, pipeline management, and core business management features. You will work on feature implementation and system optimization across a tech stack that includes PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and modern JavaScript frameworks. You’ll thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment where we ship daily, writing clean code guided by established design patterns and maintaining high standards for usability and performance.

You Will:

  • Design, develop and maintain features across the full stack: React/Next.js, NestJS middleware, and PHP Laravel services (Admin, Payments, SSO, Product Vault).
  • Support the migration of the legacy Node.js API Gateway (AWS Lambda) to the new NestJS-based platform with Redis and message queues.
  • Apply established design patterns (MVC, Repository, Factory, Singleton) to write scalable, maintainable code for backend services and frontend components.
  • Integrate and leverage AI-powered tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development and support internal workflows.
  • Collaborate proactively in a remote-first environment: communicate blockers, document decisions, participate in technical discussions and pull request reviews.
  • Work with basic DevOps practices: set up and maintain local Docker environments, write migrations, and support CI/CD pipelines and AWS deployments.
  • Learn and apply travel/hospitality domain knowledge to inform product decisions, data models, and integrations.
  • Support UX/UI discussions where technical constraints intersect with user experience.

This Job is for You If:

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing daily tasks and meeting delivery deadlines.
  • You have solid hands-on experience in full-stack web development, with strong foundational knowledge of modern software architecture and web request lifecycles.
  • You are passionate about building maintainable systems using solid design patterns and writing clean, structured code.
  • You have strong experience developing and maintaining modular PHP Laravel applications, including hands-on experience with Livewire and Filament.
  • You have experience working with REST APIs and third-party API integrations (e.g., payment processing, travel/supplier data, or CRM services).
  • You have strong knowledge of MySQL, including writing migrations, structuring schemas, and writing performant relational queries.
  • You have foundational knowledge of cloud deployment environments and basic exposure to AWS services (ECS, RDS, S3) and CI/CD workflows.
  • You are experienced designing, building, and consuming REST APIs with proper validation and error handling.
  • You are comfortable troubleshooting issues in production and working alongside senior engineers to debug performance bottlenecks.
  • You can support frontend development work.
  • You have experience with agile development practices, debugging, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • You’re a curious learner who enjoys improving systems, exploring new technologies, and contributing ideas and best practices.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience or interest in the travel, hospitality, or hotel booking industry.
  • Experience working with third-party supplier integrations and availability systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Experience working with containerized applications in production environments.
