Performance Marketing Manager

About Upserve

Upserve is rebuilding the restaurant POS platform for independent full-service restaurants.

Restaurants today are navigating rising labor costs, operational complexity, staffing shortages, and increasing pressure from fragmented technology systems. Generic retail POS systems are not built for the realities of hospitality operations.

Upserve helps independent restaurants improve service, increase revenue per table, and run more efficient operations through restaurant-native POS, payments, reporting, guest intelligence, and operational workflows designed specifically for hospitality.

We are rebuilding our go-to-market organization with a focus on:

     operational discipline,

     scalable growth,

     strategic partnerships,

     and measurable revenue performance.

About the role

  • Upserve is looking for a data-driven, growth-minded Performance Marketing Manager to own and optimize our paid acquisition programs.
  • In this role, you’ll be responsible for turning marketing investment into qualified pipeline and new customers. You’ll manage campaigns across paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, and emerging channels while continuously testing new audiences, offers, creative, landing pages, and acquisition strategies.
  • This is an ideal role for someone who combines strong analytical instincts with a bias toward action. You’re comfortable digging into performance data, identifying opportunities, launching experiments, and quickly translating what you learn into better marketing performance.

What you'll do

  • Own the strategy, execution, measurement, and optimization of Upserve’s paid customer acquisition programs across channels including paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, and other emerging channels.
  • Manage performance against key business metrics including qualified leads, pipeline, customer acquisition cost, conversion rate, and return on marketing investment.
  • Build and continuously improve a rigorous testing program across audiences, messaging, creative, offers, bidding strategies, and landing pages.
  • Identify opportunities to scale successful campaigns while maintaining acquisition efficiency.
  • Partner closely with Sales to understand lead quality, conversion performance, and downstream revenue impact—not just top-of-funnel metrics.
  • Work with Content, Brand/Design, and Product Marketing, to develop high-performing campaign concepts, creative, and landing experiences.
  • Analyze the customer acquisition funnel to identify conversion bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop forecasts, budgets, performance targets, and channel-level investment recommendations.
  • Build clear reporting and dashboards that translate marketing data into actionable business insights.
  • Evaluate and test new acquisition channels, technologies, and tactics that could unlock incremental growth.
  • Stay current on changes in the digital advertising landscape and bring new ideas and best practices to Upserve’s growth strategy.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in performance, growth, digital, or acquisition marketing, preferably in a high-growth B2B SaaS or technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing meaningful paid media budgets and delivering measurable improvements in acquisition performance.
  • Deep expertise in paid search and paid social platforms, with experience across additional digital acquisition channels.
  • Strong understanding of funnel economics, including CAC, CPL, conversion rates, pipeline, LTV, and marketing ROI.
  • Highly analytical and comfortable working with large datasets to diagnose performance and make investment decisions.
  • Experience with marketing analytics, attribution, CRM, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong experimentation mindset and experience designing, executing, and evaluating A/B tests.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on campaign execution.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex performance data into clear recommendations.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and experimentation is encouraged
  • What Success Looks Like
    • Within your first year, you’ll have built a repeatable performance marketing engine that delivers predictable, efficient growth. You’ll know which channels, audiences, messages, and offers drive Upserve’s best customers—and you’ll use those insights to continually improve how we invest our marketing dollars.

Salary Range - $130,000 - $160,000 based on experience.
