Third Way Health helps medical practices across the United States improve patient experience and access while reducing the administrative burden on practices. We enable practices to enhance the experience of their patients by providing them with a leading front office management platform, supported by a world-class team of service representatives. What unites us is our passion to support providers and help patients from all backgrounds to have a better healthcare experience.

About the position

We’re looking for a full-time Analytics Manager to build and lead our core analytics function. Reporting to product management leadership, you will own the full analytics stack—from data warehousing and governance through modeling, visualization, and reporting—ensuring that every team at Third Way Health has reliable, timely, and actionable data to drive decisions.

This role requires a rare blend of technical depth and organizational leadership: building robust data infrastructure while making insights accessible to clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders; establishing governance and compliance standards while enabling self-service exploration; and managing model accuracy while translating complex outputs into clear business value. You will be instrumental in maturing our data capabilities and fostering a data-driven culture, while upholding our values to Act as One Team, Own the Outcome, Default to Open, Learn Through Feedback, and See the Whole Person.

What you'll do

  • Own the analytics stack end-to-end - design and maintain our cloud data warehouse, data catalog, analytics processing pipelines, models, and visualization layer, ensuring a cohesive architecture that scales with the business
  • Build and manage the data warehouse - unify enterprise data across internal systems into a well-modeled, queryable store using dimensional modeling and star schema best practices
  • Establish a data catalog and metadata management practice - create a searchable directory of data assets so teams across the organization can discover, understand, and trust the information available to them
  • Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines - build automated ETL/ELT workflows that extract data from source systems, transform it into our unified format, and load it into the warehouse with monitoring for freshness, completeness, and failure recovery
  • Guide integration approach — work with our Integrations team to sync data with source systems (EHRs, third-party tools and APIs)
  • Enforce data governance and compliance – establish and maintain policies for data access, lineage tracking, duplicate and change management, and regulatory compliance (including HIPAA), ensuring data is handled responsibly throughout its lifecycle
  • Maintain analytical models and algorithms - oversee the lifecycle of models that produce risk scores, forecasts, quality measures, and other business-critical outputs, including version management, validation, drift detection, and clear documentation of purpose and assumptions
  • Deliver visualization and reporting - match the right tool to the right audience (Tableau workbooks, Grafana dashboards, SQL-access) so every stakeholder can access the insights they need
  • Partner with product, commercial and operational teams to understand their questions, translate them into data requirements, and deliver insights in formats they can act on
  • Build and mentor an analytics team of analysts who are passionate about turning data into measurable impact

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence with 2+ years managing or leading a team of data professionals
  • Deep expertise in cloud data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar), including data modeling, schema design, and warehouse optimization
  • Proven track record building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt, Airflow, or similar, with strong pipeline monitoring and reliability practices
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with ad-hoc data exploration, prototyping reports, and answering complex business questions on demand
  • Proficiency with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Grafana, or similar) and the judgment to select the right reporting approach for each audience
  • Experience with data governance, including access controls, lineage tracking, metadata management, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA experience highly valued)
  • Background in statistical modeling or applied analytics—building, validating, and maintaining models such as risk scoring, forecasting, or quality measurement
  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills who can work effectively with engineering, product, commercial, and operations stakeholders to ensure analytics capabilities align with business needs
  • Healthcare technology background highly valued, including familiarity with clinical workflows, EHR data, medical terminology, insurance processes, and the regulatory landscape
