About Walker Advertising
Since 1984, Walker Advertising has bridged the gap between a law firm's need to grow and an underserved community's need for trustworthy legal services. Our teams lead with empathy and without ego to serve others through integrity and trust. We dare to think differently and work to consistently raise the bar, creating a workplace environment based on respect.
We believe that our employees are not just numbers; they are people. People with families and lives outside of work. We understand that a career is just one piece of the puzzle that makes people successful, happy individuals. That's why as we grow our teams, we focus on the whole person.
About the role
The Account Manager plays a critical role in deepening Walker's relationships with existing law firm clients and reducing churn across our highest-value accounts. The Account Manager will be paired with a top-performing Business Development Executive (BDE) to help manage a dedicated book of accounts in South Florida — becoming an embedded, trusted resource for the law firms we serve.
This is intentionally a retention and relationship role, not a selling role. This position does not carry a new-business sales quota or commission structure — the Account Manager's job is to get ingrained with each firm's intake team, spot opportunities and signals that the BDE can act on, and make sure our clients feel supported, not upsold. Success in this role means firms stay longer, refer more business, and see Walker as a true partner rather than a vendor.
The BDE you'll be paired with will be closely involved in shaping your day-to-day priorities and training. There's a real opportunity here to help define what this function becomes at Walker as it grows.
What you'll do
- Serve as an embedded, in-person point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of South Florida law firm accounts, working closely with each firm's intake staff.
- Conduct at least one in-person visit per account per month, along with regular check-ins (calls, texts, or in person) to stay close to how the relationship is going.
- Run intake trainings, lunch-and-learns, and informal coaching sessions to help firms get more value out of Walker leads.
- Identify buying signals, growth opportunities, and firm needs during visits and calls, and route them to the assigned BDE.
- Support lead reviews and help troubleshoot conversion issues alongside the client and the BDE.
- Own client retention and satisfaction for the assigned book of accounts, escalating concerns to the BDE and leadership early and clearly.
- Help re-engage and diagnose firms that have churned or gone quiet, understanding what went wrong and whether the relationship can be repaired.
- Build an understanding of practice areas (personal injury, premises liability, workers' compensation) and case value to speak credibly with attorneys and intake staff.
- Over time, help build out a referral network and identify new-business opportunities within existing client relationships.
- Partner with the BDE and Director of National Sales to help shape the training curriculum and playbook for this role as the program scales to new markets.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a client-facing, account management, or law firm intake role.
- Experience in law firm intake, legal services, or client-facing account management preferred; personal injury experience is strongly preferred but not required.
- High motor and a strong sense of ownership — comfortable proactively building relationships without close daily oversight.
- Coachable, with the confidence to hold your ground with assertive attorneys and intake staff without getting rattled.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a consultative, relationship-first approach (not a hard-sell mentality).
- Comfortable with approximately 50% local travel for in-person client visits across South Florida.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus.
- Based in or willing to relocate to South Florida.
