Position Overview:
The The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides emergency medical response, basic healthcare services, and medical support within a federally contracted ICE Short-Term Residential Facility.
Working under the direction of the Health Services Administrator, Registered Nurse, or other licensed healthcare provider, the EMT is responsible for responding to medical incidents, conducting patient assessments, providing basic life support, assisting with clinical operations, and supporting the overall health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors. This role requires sound judgment, strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations while maintaining compliance with facility policies and applicable healthcare standards.
