About the Role

In the Client Advisor role, you’ll be the first point of connection for prospective clients, engaging them through outreach and guiding them through the early stages of the sales journey. You’ll lead thoughtful discovery conversations to understand their needs, maintain consistent follow-up, and ensure every interaction moves the opportunity forward. By keeping accurate records and supporting seamless handoffs to the broader sales team, you’ll play a critical role in creating a smooth, well-coordinated pipeline and a positive first impression for every potential customer.


General Summary of Position

Responsible for engaging prospective clients through outreach, conducting discovery conversations, and guiding them through the early stages of the sales process. Maintains accurate records, manages ongoing communication and follow-up, and supports smooth handoffs to ensure continuity within the sales pipeline.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Engage and guide prospective clients through timely outreach via phone, SMS, and email, leading structured discovery conversations to understand project vision, timeline, budget, and decision-making process while addressing questions and concerns with confidence and curiosity.
  • Assess client needs and alignment by evaluating readiness and fit, providing thoughtful guidance on next steps, and ensuring accurate updates within the sales pipeline.
  • Execute consistent follow-up and client engagement by managing multi-touch communication throughout the lead lifecycle, including reschedules, no-shows, and re-engagement of inactive opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records by documenting all client interactions, updates, and next steps to ensure a seamless and well-informed customer experience.
  • Facilitate smooth consultation handoffs by capturing key discovery insights, preparing Design Consultants with relevant client context, and proactively managing appointment recovery opportunities to support successful outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education

High school diploma/GED required. 

Licenses/Certifications

N/A

Years of Experience

 1-2 years in inside sales, SDR/BDR, appointment-setting, or high-volume customer engagement

 

Experience in home improvement, real estate, or other high-consideration purchase environments 

Required Skills & Abilities

Ability to conduct discovery conversations that build rapport and surface genuine insight — not just collect data

 

Strong verbal communication: clear, confident, and genuinely curious about what customers are trying to accomplish

 

CRM discipline: accurate, complete records are a professional standard, not an afterthought

 

Comfort managing multiple leads across different pipeline stages simultaneously

 

Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (SPIN, Sandler, Challenger, or similar)

 

Exposure to contact center platforms, power dialers, or SMS outreach tools
