Ash World

STELLA Restaurant Manager- Hotel Sorrento

ASH Hotels designs, develops, owns and operates a very special collection of properties. In our world, a hotel is much more than a destination to meet, dine, or sleep. Rather, it is a dynamic site of imagery and emotions, interactions and sensations manifesting within the walls of a beautifully restored local legend - a living movie set. An ASH hotel is a connection to the past and a beacon for the future, layered in nuanced storytelling that invites exploration time and again.

The historic Hotel Sorrento is a cultural anchor in Seattle. From the fireside salons filled with local legends, to a spirit sighting, or the rooftop views of a growing city, the Sorrento has always been where Seattle gathers to celebrate and connect; a landmark with decades of stories, well cared-for guests, and deep roots in the neighborhood it calls home. Steps from downtown Seattle, the hotel enjoys one of the city's most enviable settings: walkable to Pike Place Market, the waterfront, the convention center, and the region's best dining, all while retaining the quiet charm of a tree-lined enclave.
Whether it’s brunch in the garden, jazz by candlelight, or a martini by the fire, STELLA delivers more than just a meal — it delivers atmosphere, story, and connection.

About The Role:

We’re looking for a gregarious, guest satisfaction-oriented Restaurant Manager who lives for the floor — someone who leads with charm, commands the room, and builds relationships with both regulars and first-timers.

You’re not just managing a restaurant — you’re crafting a scene. You’ll lead and inspire our STELLA team, driving exceptional service, strong financial results, and a culture rooted in warmth, precision, and hospitality that feels like home.

This is a role for a natural host, a strategic thinker, and a hands-on leader who can orchestrate service like a symphony and never forget a guest’s name — or their preferred cocktail. Your talents will also be utilized to elevate our Banquets and Catering guest experience, providing oversight of client and in-house activations taking place in our outlets and event spaces.

What You'll Do:

·         Build STELLA into one of Seattle’s most talked-about dining destinations — known for unforgettable service, dynamic

atmosphere, and consistently strong performance.

·         Be a daily presence on the floor, welcoming guests and empowering your team through in-the-moment coaching.

·         Drive top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability through strategic labor planning, upsell programs, guest

engagement, and menus development.

·         Champion guest loyalty by building rapport with locals, hotel guests, and event hosts — ensuring every experience is

personal, memorable, and worth repeating.

·         Lead daily operations across STELLA, the Fireside Room, in-room dining, and our garden.

·         Oversee and elevate the Banquets and Catering guest experience by managing client and in-house activations across

hotel outlets and event spaces, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional service.

·         Train, and retain a high-performing service team; foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and growth.

·         Monitor service flow, adjust staffing in real time, and jump in to assist wherever needed.

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.

·         Track and report on KPIs (guest satisfaction, sales, labor, prime cost) and implement data-informed improvements.

What You bring:

·         3–5 years of progressive restaurant experience (hotel experience preferred); 1–2 years in a leadership role

·         Proven success in managing FOH teams, driving guest satisfaction, and meeting financial targets

·         Strong business acumen with knowledge of inventory systems, labor forecasting, scheduling, and budgeting

·         Tech-savvy: Familiarity with Toast, OpenTable, ADP, StayNTouch, and Microsoft Office

·         Deep understanding of Seattle’s F&B culture, seasonal trends, and local partnerships

·         Exceptional communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills

·         The ability to lead with warmth, inspire through action, and charm a full dining room without missing a beat
