As the Business Operations Associate, you'll play a vital role in keeping our internal operations running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll support a wide range of projects across HR, Legal, IT, Accounting, and Office Management, giving you a front-row seat to the inner workings of a fast-growing climate tech company.

About the role
As the Business Operations Associate, you'll report to the Director of People & Business Operations and collaborate closely with senior leadership including our Director of Plant Operations, Chief of Staff, COO, and CFO. This is a high-impact role with broad exposure across departments, perfect for someone who wants to grow their operational skill set in a fast-paced, purpose-driven startup.
What you'll do
Your day-to-day will span multiple business functions. Here’s what that looks like:
Human Resources (HR) (40%)
- Support full cycle recruiting (sourcing, screening, onboarding, offboarding)
- Maintain employee records and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in planning and coordinating company-wide events and team-building activities.
- Help administer HR software systems (e.g., Rippling).
Legal & Compliance (10%)
- Track and manage contracts, NDAs, and other legal documentation.
- Support compliance and audit-related administrative tasks.
- Ensure adherence to documentation standards and filing protocols.
IT & Internal Systems (10%)
- Administer core software platforms (Rippling, KPA, Coda).
- Support new employees with tech setup and access provisioning.
- Maintain internal knowledge bases and digital filing systems.
Accounting & Finance (10%)
- Assist with expense tracking, invoice processing, and financial reporting.
- Support the finance team in managing budgets for events and operations initiatives.
- Help ensure timely and accurate documentation of transactions.
Office Management & General Operations (30%)
- Manage scheduling, calendars, meeting logistics, and document organization.
- Help oversee purchasing, shipping/receiving, and general office logistics.
- Identify and implement process improvements across departments.
- Support leadership with ad hoc operations and cross-functional projects.
Required qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- A proactive approach with a team-oriented mindset.
- Experience in operations, administration, or business support, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred.
Education requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Base Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 USD per year (Loveland, CO)
