Shipping Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of shipping-related duties such as labeling and packaging orders for shipment, and ensuring that orders are filled accurately and efficiently, continually striving for improved customer satisfaction.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety first; communicates safety concerns; promotes safe work environment
  • Operate a wide variety of equipment to move boxes, stock materials and manage shipments (forklift, pallet jack)
  • Perform shipping activities and prepare bill of ladings as needed for transport companies, (UPS, FedEx, LTL, emergency orders, or general deliveries)
  • Maintain shipping and ensure accurate entry in inventory system
  • Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times and adhere to the 5’S housekeeping standards
  • Assist with physical inventory and other inventory processes as requested
  • Participate in team training as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Be adaptable, professional, courteous and motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and challenging workload
  • Ability to work independently and interact across all levels of the organization
  • Basic computer skills, previous experience with inventory system; Microsoft NAV preferred
  • Must be able to walk, stand and sit for long periods of time; climbing stairs is required
  • Forklift certification required
  • Strong attention to detail with organization skills

 

Education and Experience:

·        High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

·        Two (2) years’ warehouse experience required

 

Physical Requirements:

·        Push, pull, or lift 50-100 pounds

·        Operate pallet jack and forklift
