About the role
As a senior embedded systems engineer, you will bring automotive-grade embedded engineering discipline to a greenfield product environment, owning firmware from architecture through production deployment across condition monitoring systems, power electronics, and grid-edge devices. Our integrated model of combining advanced engineering, tight supply-chain control, and exceptional service empowers you to build resilient solutions that restore reliability and control to the operators who keep the world energized.
What you'll do
- Design and develop production-grade firmware for asset condition monitoring systems and high-power electronics platforms.
- Own schematic review and hardware bring-up i.e. bridging hardware and software from early prototype through field deployment
- Drive end-to-end product development cycles including requirements, architecture, implementation, validation, and deployment
- Implement and maintain CAN, LIN, Modbus, IEC61850 etc communication stacks as required by system architecture
- Apply automotive embedded architecture principles (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR) to power electronics and monitoring applications
- Develop FPGA-based control and signal processing pipelines; write low-level peripheral drivers and RTOS application layers
- Collaborate with hardware, power electronics, and product teams on system requirements and interface definitions
- Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and qualification testing across product lines
Qualifications
- First Principles Thinking
- 4+ years of embedded systems engineering experience with at least one complete end-to-end product development cycle
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in C/C++; experience with bare-metal, RTOS-based (FreeRTOS, Zephyr), and embedded Linux environments
- Hands-on automotive embedded experience: ISO 26262 functional safety, AUTOSAR architecture, or ECU development
- Experience with automotive/industrial communication protocols: CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART, Modbus, IEC61850
- Proficiency with debugging tools: JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and hardware bring-up workflows
- Experience with version control (Git), build systems (Make/CMake), and Agile development practices
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across hardware-software interactions
- Excellent written and verbal communications in English
What we offer
- Collaborative work environment
- Challenging problems to solve
- Competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision
- Equity package
