Is "I'll figure it out and get it done" your personal motto — and are you ready to help a team live by it too?
We're a rapidly growing e-commerce company selling fitness equipment across Canada and the USA, and our sales team is leveling up. We're splitting the team geographically, and we need a second Sales Team Lead to take the reins of one side.
This is a junior leadership role reporting to our Sales Manager. Think player-coach: you'll still be on the phones running outreach and closing deals, but you'll also be the person your team looks to for coaching, campaign direction, and day-to-day support. It's a real first step into sales leadership for someone who's already a strong closer and wants to bring others up with them.
We're looking for someone who knows fitness equipment — either you already know Bells of Steel, or you've got a solid handle on the kind of gear we sell — and who has spent real time in outbound sales. Comfort on the phone isn't optional here; it's the job.
Let's be upfront about one thing: this is a salaried role with no commission. No quota-chasing for your paycheck, no leaderboard games, no pressure to push the wrong product on the wrong customer. Your pay is stable and predictable — so you and your team can focus on doing right by the customer, which is exactly how we want it.
This is a primarily remote role, but you'll need to be based in Calgary — with the expectation of at least one day per week on site. Core hours are Monday to Friday, but this role includes coverage during peak sales periods and some weekend trade shows, so flexibility matters.
At Bells of Steel, our passion is working together to make strength training accessible to all — and having fun doing it. We're curious and a little cheeky, always pushing to do things better, whether that's the products we build, the campaigns we run, or the way we show up for our customers and each other. We trust our people to take smart risks and speak honestly, we treat each other and our customers with fairness and respect, and we believe a team is far stronger than the sum of its individuals. We adapt fast, and we keep our customers at the centre of everything we do.
We promote a supportive, collaborative culture focused on keeping our team happy and high-performing — which leads to a great customer experience and remarkably low turnover. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
