Summer Grounds Worker

About the role

  • If you enjoy working outside and working as part of a team, this may be the job for you. Facilities Management is hiring for the summer Grounds Crew. Students will assist with campus lawn care, general grounds cleanup, athletic field maintenance, landscaping projects, road maintenance, and various campus grounds projects. Applicants who enjoy doing outdoor work or have experience operating lawn care equipment are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Must be 16 or older


Work Environment:

Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, performing manual labor in all kinds of weather, occasionally in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to work in standing, stooping and kneeling positions for extended periods of time and must be able to work in a sitting position on a piece of equipment for extended periods of time.

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The job requires extended periods of sitting and traversing the Bethel Campus on a regular basis. Must be able to lift items weighing 75+ pounds. Requires sufficient hand-eye coordination, hand and finger dexterity including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical and safety information.

 

Expected Hours of Work:

This role works 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week.

Part time hours are available.
