VP Data Partnerships
Bombora's Director of Data Partnerships is a seasoned business development executive with strong organizational and management skills. This position requires an existing network of contacts at businesses matching our ideal partner profile (publishers, associations, event operators).
This position will play a critical role in developing strategic partnerships that expand the footprint of Bombora’s market leading data co-operative. Bombora’s data co-operative is the foundation of everything we sell. It was built one relationship at a time, and the Director of Data Partnerships is the person who will help us build even more valuable partnerships.
You will:
- Own full-cycle partnership development — sourcing, qualification, pitch, negotiation, and close — for new co-op data sources across the US.
- Build pipeline in categories where Bombora has a non-endemic value proposition.
- Acquire knowledge of Customer technology stacks and workflows, and validate the client workflow to engage the appropriate support and technical resources where necessary
- Hand off cleanly to onboarding and drive time-to-value once a partner is signed, including advising partners on how to use Bombora data in their own go-to-market.
- Represent the co-op externally at conferences and in onsite meetings with senior leadership.
- Maintain accurate, predictable pipeline forecasting in Salesforce
You have:
- 8+ years in business development or partnerships in digital media, data, or adtech, with a track record of closing complex, non-transactional deals.
- An existing network among publishers, associations, event operators, or community and platform businesses.
- Familiarity with the mechanics of data collection and tagging — pixels, consent, data clean rooms, identity resolution.
- Demonstrated success selling to and negotiating with C-level and senior executives at media, platform, or technology companies.
- Experience opening a category from a standing start — building pipeline where you had no existing relationships and no proven pitch.
- Consultative approach: you can hold a substantive conversation about a counterparty’s business model and where your proposal fits into it.
- Working knowledge of the B2B marketing landscape and how intent data is used by marketing and sales teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically on a regular basis, with occasional international travel.
- Fluency with Salesforce, Google Workspace, and AI tooling in daily workflow.
