About Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics

Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) provides custom orthotic and prosthetic care through clinics across Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Missouri. Our clinical and fabrication teams work together to create devices that help patients improve mobility, comfort, and independence.

Position Overview

CPO is seeking a CAD Modifier to join our Peoria fabrication team. This position uses computer-aided design software to prepare and modify digital models for custom orthotic and prosthetic devices, with a strong emphasis on ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs).

Prior orthotics and prosthetics experience is preferred, but not required for candidates with relevant CAD or digital modeling experience. Candidates with O&P fabrication experience and familiarity with clinical orders may also be considered without previous CAD experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and modify digital models using industry-specific CAD software, following clinician instructions and established fabrication procedures.
  • Review scans, measurements, and work orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Apply prescribed model modifications and check dimensions, contours, and anatomical landmarks within your training and assigned responsibilities.
  • Communicate with clinicians and fabrication staff to clarify instructions and resolve questions before production.
  • Prepare files for fabrication and maintain accurate records of modifications and revisions.
  • Organize assigned cases, communicate progress, and meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Follow company procedures for protecting patient information and handling digital files.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience using CAD or digital modeling software through employment, education, technical training, or relevant projects. O&P fabrication experience with a working understanding of clinical orders may be considered in place of CAD experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, spatial understanding, and ability to interpret measurements and written instructions.
  • Computer proficiency and willingness to learn specialized software and device modification techniques.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, accept feedback, and work collaboratively.
  • Availability to work on-site in Peoria.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in orthotics and prosthetics fabrication or clinical practice.
  • Experience modifying patient-specific digital or physical models, particularly for AFOs.
  • Familiarity with Vorum or Rodin software.
  • Understanding of anatomy, custom device fabrication, and clinical work orders.
