In an era marked by rapid technological change and evolving threats, we design for flexibility, survivability, and operational dominance.

Forterra delivers weapons, sensors, and battlefield effects through integrated autonomous networks reaching operational areas faster, safer, and without placing human lives at risk. Our systems operate with distributed control, dynamic routing, and real-time responsiveness, enabling sustained advantage across complex mission environments.

About the role

The Operation Data Analyst serves as the critical link between engineering and supply chain by translating semi-structured engineering data into structured, actionable data that supports manufacturing, procurement, and operations. This role ensures engineering outputs are accurately represented within configuration management and ERP systems while maintaining data integrity and documentation quality, while supporting configuration discipline. In addition to data governance responsibilities, this role supports material planning and allocation across internal and external programs, ensuring components are available when needed, and allocated appropriately against competing priorities. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, systems-minded, and comfortable working with imperfect data in a fast-paced environment. They are equally effective collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and executing hands-on operational work. Success in this role requires balancing the need for process and structure with the realities of a rapidly evolving engineering organization.

What you'll do

This role is responsible for cross-functional coordination across engineering, purchasing, integration and quality teams to support configuration control and PLM data for supply chain management and forecasting operations.

Engineering Data & Configuration Management

  • Translate semi-structured engineering requests into structured item, material, and bill of material (BOM) records within configuration management and ERP systems.
  • Ensure engineering data complies with established configuration management standards while enabling efficient execution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) configuration management PLM system and ERP system, providing guidance and system admin support to engineering and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve engineering data intake processes to increase efficiency while maintaining documentation quality, traceability, and configuration integrity.
  • Ensure newly created items, materials, and assemblies are established with complete and accurate metadata.
  • Manage revision flow and review product change processing requests

Master Data Management

  • Own the quality and integrity of item, material, and component master data across PLM and ERP systems.
  • Conduct regular data health checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Develop and improve metadata standards, including differentiation between internally manufactured and externally sourced assemblies and components.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data governance, reporting, and system usability.

Material Planning & Allocation

  • Support long-term material planning activities by partnering with supply chain teams to understand future demand and supply constraints.
  • Assist with allocation of constrained materials and components across internal and customer programs.
  • Triage material requests, identify conflicts or constraints, and coordinate with stakeholders to develop practical resolution plans.
  • Maintain visibility into material availability to support program execution and prioritization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data management, configuration management, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or a related discipline within a high-growth or technically complex environment.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations organizations.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, incomplete, or imperfect datasets while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, configuration management tools, and material planning systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Experience within defense, robotics, aerospace, autonomous systems, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to demand planning, supply planning, or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Experience managing constrained material allocations across multiple programs.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and engineering change processes.
