Job Description

GEM’s Investment Internship offers Summer Analysts the chance to take the lead in various aspects of client relationships, work on projects related to GEM’s investment portfolio, and gain experience across different asset classes in both public and private markets. Summer Analysts can expect to collaborate with members of the Investment team at all levels, from Analysts to Partners.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support the development of institutional portfolios, including conducting enterprise assessments and integrating stakeholder preferences into portfolio design and implementation
  • Develop an understanding of alternative asset classes, including Public Equity, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, and Real Assets
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative investment inputs into client communication and presentations
  • Aid the team on ad-hoc projects including strategic investment policy reviews, spending simulations, and scenario analysis
  • Monitor existing and research prospective investments around the globe
  • Gain understanding of strategies employed by world-class investment managers
  • Support business development efforts, including RFPs and new client pitches
  • Conduct a research project for, and present the results to, GEM’s Investment Team

Qualifications

  • Class of 2028, with an expected graduation date of Spring 2028
