Caregiver – Pocatello, ID

About the Role

Happy To Help Caregiving is looking for compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care throughout Pocatello, Chubbuck, Inkom, Fort Hall, McCammon, and surrounding Southeast Idaho communities.

As a caregiver, you'll provide one-on-one support that helps seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Our caregivers assist with everyday needs, personal care, companionship, and household support while treating every client with dignity and respect.

This is strictly non-medical caregiving. We do not provide skilled nursing services, administer medications, or perform medical procedures.

What You'll Do

Each client's care plan is personalized and may include:

  • Providing companionship, conversation, activities, and emotional support
  • Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Preparing meals and snacks based on client preferences and dietary needs
  • Providing light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, tidying, changing linens, and taking out trash
  • Providing medication reminders according to the care plan (no handling or administering medications)
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and walking
  • Providing transportation for appointments, errands, grocery shopping, and approved outings
  • Providing respite support for family caregivers
  • Following individualized care plans and accurately documenting services
  • Communicating changes in client needs or concerns to the office
  • Encouraging independence while respecting each client's routines, preferences, privacy, and dignity

Our caregivers are expected to be dependable, punctual, respectful, and professional in every client's home.

Qualifications

We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy helping others and are committed to providing compassionate, reliable care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions
  • Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Professional and respectful attitude

Preferred

  • Previous caregiving, home care, assisted living, healthcare, hospitality, or customer service experience
  • CNA certification is a plus but not required

No previous caregiving experience is required. We value character, dependability, compassion, and a willingness to learn and provide training to help you succeed.

Position Details

  • Location: Pocatello, Chubbuck, Inkom, Fort Hall, McCammon, and surrounding Southeast Idaho communities
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities
  • Day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts may be available
  • One-on-one, non-medical in-home caregiving
  • Care provided in clients' private residences
