Position Overview 

We are looking for an efficient and positive line cook to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and clean workstation, and able to provide consistent quality on all orders in a timely manner. 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Food Preparation: Wash, chop, slice, and prep ingredients prior to and during cafe service.  
  • Recipe Execution: Cook, assemble, and plate cafe items (sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and hot plates) efficiently and exactly to cafe specifications.  
  • Station Management: Set up, stock, and break down your assigned kitchen station, ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for service.  
  • Inventory & Stocking: Monitor ingredient levels, rotate stock using FIFO methods, and communicate supply needs to the manager.  
  • Sanitation & Safety: Adhere strictly to local health codes, maintain a sanitary work area, and manage proper food storage and temperature logs.  
  • Teamwork: Communicate clearly with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth, timely service for cafe patrons.  

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Experience: 1+ years of kitchen or food service experience preferred. 
  • Speed & Multitasking: Ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing food quality. 
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to assist with dishes, prep, or expo depending on the cafe's daily needs. 
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long shifts (8+ hours) and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
