ID90 Travel is looking for a Sales Administrator to work with our cruise team, with the following role transition of: Cruise Admin training for first 3 months, then a hybrid role of Cruise Admin and Cruise Sales Representative for month 3 to month 6 and full time Cruise Sales after 6 months.


Job Description


We are looking for a Sales Representative to join our Cruise Team, starting with a focus on administrative support and later transitioning into a sales role. You will begin by managing bookings, payments, and customer communications, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service. As you progress, your responsibilities will expand to include direct cruise sales and client engagement. This is a great opportunity for someone organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the cruise industry.


Key Responsibilities


Primary Responsibilities for Admin Role:

  • Managing online bookings and holds including following up on new holds and updating payments and discard cancelled bookings for nonpayment
  • Quality control over the auto payment failures including identify payments and adjust cruise base accordingly and sending updated confirmation to customer
  • Responsible for final cruise payments including sending out final payment reminders, reach out for past due payments, call back on final payment emails for customers, apply final payments and send confirmations to customer
  • Manage customer service voicemails and emails and distribute appropriately
  • Apply MSC discounts and send follow ups
  • Add membership ID to profile when applicable
  • Pull or add ID90 credits when applicable
  • Send Edocs to customer and other notifications such as upgrade notices


Primary Responsibilities for Sales Role:

  • Answer inbound cruise sales & service calls, with the ability to close a sale
  • Make outbound follow-up calls
  • Required to make payments to suppliers
  • Educate and effectively communicate consumers on ID90 products
  • Required to work 1 Saturday shift per month (currently 12pm to 4pm, possibly moving to 10am to 6pm, Argentina time)

Qualifications

  • Required to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to multi-task (phone, email) is a must
  • Ability to demonstrate sales and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of domestic and/or international destinations
  • Ability to navigate through multiple sites/software applications
  • Understanding of major Cruise Line Travel Agent portals is a plus
  • Previous travel industry experience (cruise sales) is a plus
  • A self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Job proposal

  • Full time job (160 hours) - 8 hours per day
  • Monday through Friday, plus one Saturday per month
  • Starting 8AM/9AM until 4PM/5PM for admin role (first month), 10AM/11AM until 6PM/7PM for hybrid role (2nd and 3rd month) and then 12PM/1PM until 8PM/9PM for sales role (Argentina Time)
  • PTO: same as general policy
    • Only 2 agents out at a time
  • Office: 2 days per week
  • Holidays Days (“Feriados”)
    • Agents/Admins role is not going to work on following US holidays:
      • Christmas 12/25
      • New year 01/01
      • Thanksgiving (1 day) Every 4th Thursday of November
      • Independence day 07/04
    • Agents/Admins role is working during:
      • Rest of US holidays
      • AR holidays
  • Commission for Sales role: average of $1,800/month depending on when bookings are sailed


  • Comp hours: 

Comp hours can be accrued in a number of ways including, but not limited to: working a Saturday shift or US elected holiday, or extra hours when requested by the manager. 


All comp hours will be tracked in Rippling along with your normally accrued PTO. 


Comp hours or PTO can be requested in one-hour increments as needed, as long as they are approved by a manager. 


All Comp hours must be used by December 31st of that year, or the hours will be lost, with the exception of comp hours earned in the months of November or December which can be used in the following year by April 30th.


Holidays in the US that agents are required to work and time will be compensated:

  • Day After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • Bridge Day for Christmas
  • Bridge Day for New Year
  • Bridge Day for New Year 1 
  • New Year’s Eve
