Job Description


ID90 Travel is looking for passionate individuals enthusiastic about cruises. The Cruise Sales Representative will be responsible for assisting guests using our online booking engine as well as booking guests through our Agent portal. The individual will respond to incoming phone calls, emails, and chat sessions, for new and existing bookings. The Cruise Sales Representative should have in-depth knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations as well as an energetic disposition.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by managing inbound cruise sales and support calls in a professional, knowledgeable, and timely manner.
  • Conduct outbound sales and service calls to assist members, follow up on reservations, and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Answer inbound cruise and sales inquiries while providing exceptional customer service and effectively closing sales opportunities.
  • Manage and respond to customer support emails, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of member requests.
  • Process and review incoming cruise documents, confirmations, and customer communications to ensure reservation accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience through the promotion and sale of relevant ancillary products and services.
  • Promote the ID90 Travel program by educating members on its benefits and encouraging enrollment and engagement.
  • Process payments to cruise lines, suppliers, and vendors through online portals or by phone, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively while managing phone calls, emails, and other responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated sales aptitude and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations.
  • Proficient in navigating multiple websites, systems, and software applications simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with major cruise line travel agent portals preferred.
  • Previous travel industry experience, particularly in cruise sales, preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Job proposal

  • Full-time position: 160 hours per month (8 working hours per day, excluding lunch).
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, plus one Saturday per month.
    • M-F Working hours: 12:00 PM–8:00 PM (Argentina Time).
    • Saturday working hours: currently 12pm to 4pm, possibly moving to 10am to 6pm, Argentina time
    • As this is a U.S.-focused sales role, working hours will adjust throughout the year to align with U.S. Daylight Saving Time (DST). Starting November 1st, the M-F schedule will shift to 1:00 PM–9:00 PM (Argentina Time) to maintain alignment with the U.S. Central timezone. 
  • Office: It is required to go twice a week: Monday and Wednesday.
  • Holiday Schedule: The Cruise Sales Representative role follows a specific holiday schedule based on business coverage requirements.
    • The Cruise Support Center is closed on the following non-working U.S. holidays: New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
    • Working holidays: The role is expected to maintain its regular work schedule on all other U.S. holidays not listed above and Argentine national holidays.
  • Commissions: Estimated average commissions are approximately USD 1,800 per month. Commissions are variable and are paid based on completed (sailed) bookings. As a result, monthly commission amounts may fluctuate depending on booking volume and sailing dates.
