Inked Brands is seeking a detail-oriented Controller at our Bowling Green, KY office!  The candidate will be responsible for managing our Accounting team, assisting with analytical activities to support financial reporting, managing inputs to the general ledger system, ensuring files are complete and maintained as needed, and handling support to complementary functions such as Accounts Payable and Receivable. This position requires a proactive, analytical, and energetic mindset in addition to possessing strong communication skills and the ability to be detail-oriented.

This role is a salaried, part-time position ranging from 20-30 hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform accounting functions to support multiple entities; Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations;  Perform month-end close procedures; Research, track, and resolve accounting issues.
• Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data to support the timely reporting of key financial information as required by supervisors.
• Understand and execute internal controls related to accountabilities; proactively seek opportunities to strengthen internal controls.
• Assist with the development of accounting procedures and recommend changes to improve processes.
• Oversee Accounting team and Accounts Payable process following the department’s procedure and protocol process.
• Manage sales tax requirements for an eCommerce company.
• Assist with Vendor issues and payment questions while maintaining a professional character.
• Have the ability to direct concerns and/or errors to the appropriate department(s) within the company.
• Regularly impress customers with an outstanding experience, service, product, and environment while achieving company goals.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in accounting or finance function preferred with experience in management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Financial systems and bookkeeping software experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
