The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced SEO & AI Search Strategist to lead and execute our organic search and generative engine optimization (GEO) strategy. This role will drive visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and more.

You will own day-to-day SEO initiatives, develop high-impact content strategies, write and optimize blog content, monitor evolving AI search trends, and identify opportunities to improve how our brand is discovered online. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role for someone who is passionate about search, content performance, and the future of AI-driven discovery.

What You’ll Own:

SEO & GEO Strategy

  • Own and execute SEO and GEO strategies across website content, blogs, landing pages, and other organic growth channels.
  • Develop keyword, topic, and search-intent strategies that support business goals.
  • Optimize content for both traditional search engines and AI-powered answer engines.
  • Identify opportunities to increase visibility in AI Overviews, featured snippets, answer boxes, and generative AI responses.
  • Monitor search algorithm updates, AI platform changes, and emerging GEO best practices.

Content Strategy & Blog Development

  • Create SEO-informed content plans, blog calendars, and topic clusters.
  • Write, edit, and optimize blog posts designed to rank, educate, and convert.
  • Build detailed content briefs, outlines, meta titles, meta descriptions, FAQs, schema recommendations, and internal linking plans.
  • Refresh and improve existing content based on performance, competitive gaps, and changing search behavior.
  • Ensure content is accurate, brand-aligned, helpful, and structured for AI discoverability.

AI Search & Market Trend Monitoring

  • Stay current on new AI releases, generative search tools, and changes in how people discover brands online.
  • Regularly evaluate how the company appears across AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews, and other answer engines.
  • Translate AI and market trend insights into actionable optimization recommendations.
  • Test new tools, workflows, and content formats that improve search and AI visibility.

SEO Operations & Efficiency

  • Manage day-to-day SEO workflows, content updates, audits, reporting, and optimization tasks.
  • Improve SEO processes, templates, dashboards, and recurring workflows.
  • Coordinate with writers, designers, developers, and marketing team members to keep initiatives moving efficiently.
  • Conduct on-page and basic technical SEO reviews, including metadata, internal links, broken links, redirects, indexability, site structure, and page speed issues.
  • Prioritize SEO tasks based on business impact.

Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Track organic traffic, keyword rankings, content performance, conversions, backlinks, and AI search visibility.
  • Build regular reports with insights, takeaways, and recommended next steps.
  • Monitor competitors, content gaps, SERP changes, and market trends.
  • Use data to guide content updates, new content creation, and technical improvements.

You’re a Fit If…

  • You have 3–5 years of experience in SEO, content strategy, organic growth, or digital marketing
  • You have proven experience writing and optimizing blog content for SEO performance
  • You have a strong understanding of keyword research, search intent, metadata, on-page SEO, internal linking, and content structure
  • You are highly curious about AI search and generative engine optimization (GEO)
  • You have experience using SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Profound
  • You can translate performance data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • You have strong project management and organizational skills
  • You are an excellent written communicator with strong attention to detail
  • You are comfortable owning projects independently and managing recurring workflows
  • Bonus points if you have experience with schema, structured data, AI Overview optimization, editorial workflows, or CPG brands
  • You are strategic, proactive, analytical, and excited about helping shape how brands are discovered in the evolving AI search landscape
