Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and animal-loving Full-Time Dog Bather to join our grooming team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments and takes pride in providing safe, thorough, and high-quality bathing services.

Essential Responsibilities

• Bathing and drying dogs using proper grooming techniques
• Nail trimming and basic paw care
• Ear cleaning and other basic bathing services
• Brushing, de-shedding, and coat preparation
• Handling dogs safely and compassionately throughout the grooming process
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary bathing area
• Working efficiently while providing excellent care and customer service
• Assisting the grooming team as needed

Qualifications

• Previous professional dog bathing/grooming experience required
• Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
• Experience with nail trimming and basic grooming services
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal safety
• Full-time availability, including weekends, is required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Formal grooming education or certification is a plus
• Pet first aid/CPR certification is a plus

Computer Skills

• Must be able to learn and efficiently use company software
• Must be able to learn new technology in accordance with business needs

Physical Demands

• Position requires a person to be both indoors and outdoors regardless of the weather
• Majority of the day is spent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds with assist
• Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs
• Must be able to work around pet hair and dander
• Must be able to climb 2 flights of stairs multiple times per day

• Potential exposure to dog and cat bites
• Potential exposure to contagious disease or infection
• Exposure to contaminants
• Exposure to extreme weather (i.e. heat and cold)
• Must work around pet hair and dander
