Job Description

Position Summary: Core / FG Hydraulics is seeking an experienced, motivated, and bilingual (English/Spanish) Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Pompano Beach, FL. In this role, you will perform diagnostic, preventative maintenance, and complex repair work on heavy-duty diesel engines, trucks, crane trucks, and mobile hydraulic machinery in both our shop and customer field sites.

Because this role interacts directly with job site supervisors, operators, and team members across diverse environments, fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diesel Engine Diagnostics & Maintenance: Perform comprehensive troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, oil changes, brake repairs, transmission service, and electrical/engine repairs on heavy-duty diesel equipment and trucks.
• Hydraulic & Mechanical Repairs: Uninstall, repair, overhaul, and test hydraulic components, cylinders, pumps, valves, and hoses.
• Crane Truck & Fleet Service: Operate and perform routine maintenance on company-issued crane trucks and service vehicles in compliance with fleet safety standards.
• Bilingual Communication: Clearly communicate technical diagnoses, repair plans, and work progress to clients, field supervisors, and internal dispatch in both English and Spanish.
• Work Order Documentation: Accurately complete digital service tickets, parts requests, safety audits, and job invoices using company software (Mantelboard and Slack).
• Safety Protocol: Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, shop safety rules, PPE requirements, and hazardous material management guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bilingual Requirement: Must be fully fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Technical Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine diagnostics, heavy equipment maintenance, or hydraulic repair.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Required).
• Tooling Proficiency: Capable of operating diagnostic software, heavy shop tools, welding equipment, and power/hoisting gear.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, stretch, and work in both shop and outdoor field environments.
• Location & Commute: Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Pompano Beach, FL 33064 prior to starting work.
