Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Electrical/Electronics Technician to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform basic soldering and wire routing as required for assembly.
  • Handle and position small components, wires, and connectors with precision and care to prevent damage and ensure proper alignment.

  • Working with high voltages during electrical integration of components according to schematics, drawing and assembly.
  • Complete testing of various assemblies throughout the assembly process.
  • Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform basic soldering and wire routing as required for assembly.
  • Record assembly data, complete production checklists, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Notify supervisors of low stock or the need for replenishment of components, ensuring production timelines are met.
  • Identify issues with parts, materials, or processes and communicate with supervisors to resolve them promptly.
  • Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance of assembly tools and equipment to ensure functionality and longevity.
  • Work closely with Quality Control, Engineering, and Production Supervisors to address any production challenges and maintain workflow.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Engineering Technology, or another Technical Diploma.
  • Experience in working with high voltages is an asset.
  • Physically able to lift and handle components up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Basic soldering experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and maintain focus for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and work with small components for extended periods.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed.
