Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Technologist at our Dartmouth, NS office.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components for various projects.
  • Assist in the testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic systems, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  • Designing wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for electrical systems, considering factors such as signal integrity, thermal management, and EMC/EMI compliance.
  • Assisting electrical engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, and product designers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other components.
  • Developing test plans and procedures, conducting testing, and performing validation to ensure the reliability and performance of electrical systems.
  • Participate in the design review process.
  • Review of engineering deliverables.
  • Work with the Production department to provide technical assistance during the manufacturing process.
  • Understand project requirements and provide operational support while in the field.
  • Mentor Electrical Engineers and Technologists.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent with 4+ years' experience.
  • Excellent design standards and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Effectively focus on high level project objectives while executing detailed design tasks.
  • Incredible attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated technical skills along with a proven track record for success.
  • Experience in the design specification, installation and connection methods of electrical equipment.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills (technical reporting).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team environment.
  • High degree of organization, with the ability to prioritize task.


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with the following would be considered an asset:
    • Experience with Altium
    • Experience with Zuken E3
    • Experience with LabVIEW
