The Opportunity

Join Lavender’s Nursing Operations team as our Manager, Nursing Operations, where you’ll play a critical leadership role in bridging clinical care and operational excellence. You’ll lead a team of RNs and nursing support staff responsible for prescription management, hospital coordination, client triage, and care transitions—ensuring providers can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional client care.


This role sits at the heart of our Care Team, partnering closely with NP Managers, Concierge, Product, and Clinical Leadership to build scalable systems, streamline workflows, and elevate the client experience across all Care Circles. You’ll balance strategic thinking with hands-on clinical support, stepping in when needed to manage escalations and ensure safe, timely care.


What You’ll Be Doing

Operational workflow & quality

  • Oversee and optimize workflows related to medication management, prescription issues, hospital coordination, and client triage
  • Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements to reduce administrative burden and increase team efficiency
  • Ensure task management systems and communication protocols are effectively implemented and followed
  • Review nursing documentation for quality, completeness, and alignment with best practices
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for nursing support roles
  • Partner cross-functionally to define roles and streamline the end-to-end client journey
  • Act as a clinical liaison to Product and Engineering, improving EMR workflows and supporting NP training
  • Lead NP scheduling and contribute to workforce planning
  • Support and optimize Care Circle operations
  • Track and analyze operational KPIs, providing insights to guide decision-making

Direct client care

  • Step in to provide RN coverage for prescription requests during peak demand or team absences
  • Respond to clinical questions and perform same-day nursing assessments when required
  • Triage emergencies and complex care needs, coordinating across Concierge, clinical teams, and NP Managers
  • Provide client education, case management, and follow-up care
  • Proactively address client concerns, including direct outreach to resolve escalations and close feedback loops

Team leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of nursing professionals through regular 1:1s and ongoing support
  • Monitor workload distribution to ensure timely and effective care delivery
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for high-risk or complex clinical situations
  • Partner with NP Managers to align support structures with Care Circle needs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational optimization
  • Design and implement onboarding programs for nursing roles (e.g., RNs, Nursing Assistants)
  • Define caseload expectations and support proactive workforce planning as the organization scales


What You Bring
  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) designation
  • Experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting supporting care delivery
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions, treatments, and recovery-oriented care
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop healthcare teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience building or improving operational processes and workflows
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and technical teams
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and ethical guidelines
