Events Manager (Marketing)

Who is Liongard?

Headquartered in downtown Houston, Liongard is a fast-paced tech startup with a Work-From-Anywhere model (US Only).

Liongard is the system of authority for asset intelligence. Our platform continuously discovers, analyzes, and monitors assets, identities, and configurations across the IT stack, then activates that intelligence inside the AI platforms, automation tools, and workflows MSPs already use. By delivering trusted, actionable data, Liongard helps managed service providers scale efficiently, eliminate operational blind spots, and accelerate value for every customer.

As we grow, we are building a team that does awesome work and has an amazing time doing it. Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Liongard!

Our core values drive both how we work and who we hire:

  • Listen & Learn: Be a sponge and expand your diversity of thought.
  • Experiment & Evolve: Respond to what has been learned.
  • Execute as a Team: Strengthen & solidify teamwork through inclusive collaboration.
  • Share & Celebrate Progress: Honor the progress that drives you forward
  • Teach & Lead: The best path to mastery is through teaching. Transform ideas into action

We are passionate about building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working environment for all Liongard Teammates.
We believe every member on our team enriches our 10x by bringing their unique perspective to identify challenges, and discover, design, and deliver solutions.

Location: United States (East Coast Preferred)

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Type: Full-Time

About the role

  • Liongard is looking for an Events Manager to own our event program end to end. This role plans, builds, and runs the full mix of events that put Liongard in front of the MSP community: sponsored industry events, self-hosted programs, regional roadshows, and in-market activations. You'll be on site for the events you build, not just behind the scenes.
  • This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage a budget and a floor plan in the same week, and who's comfortable owning a project from first strategy conversation to onsite demand, through post-event reporting

What you'll do

  • Own Liongard's Event Marketing Program (full event lifecycle) from strategy through execution, including planning, budget, logistics, vendor and venue management, on-site execution & management, and post-event reporting
  • Develop and execute an annual calendar of sponsored conferences, customer events, regional roadshows, executive dinners, webinars, and field marketing programs.
  • Represent and lead onsite execution, managing booth operations, event logistics, staffing, customer experience and real-time problem solving.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to set event goals, target account lists, and follow-up plans so events convert into pipeline
  • Manage event budgets and vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and controlling spend across a full calendar of programs
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, product marketing, and executive leadership, to ensure events are staffed, resourced, and on message
  • Build and manage event timelines and run-of-show documents, keeping every stakeholder aligned on deadlines
  • Track and report on event performance, tying attendance and engagement back to pipeline and revenue outcomes
  • Travel regularly to represent Liongard at events throughout the United States.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience leading event marketing or event management, ideally in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, IT or the MSP space
  • Direct experience running sponsored events, self-hosted events, roadshows, and activations, not just supporting them
  • A track record of owning events start to finish, from budget and planning through on-site execution
  • Comfort traveling and working events in person; this role is on the floor, not just in the planning doc
  • Strong vendor and budget management skills, with experience negotiating contracts and tracking spend
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to run multiple events at different stages simultaneously
  • Clear, confident communication with executives, sales leaders, and external partners
  • A willingness to travel frequently and serve as Liongard's onsite representative at events.
  • Based in the United States; East Cost preferred.

Nice to Have

  • MSP, IT services, or channel marketing experience
  • Partner marketing or community program background
  • Experience supporting product launches
