Job Description
The Digital department supports the planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of websites, online products, and digital tools. Work typically begins with a business or client request, which is reviewed to understand the objective, scope, priority, timeline, and expected outcome. The Digital team then translates that request into actionable requirements, creates or updates Jira tickets, coordinates development work, and tracks progress through the appropriate workflow.
We operate within the software development lifecycle (SDLC), which includes requirements gathering, planning, design, development, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance. Testing and validation are built into the SDLC so that changes are checked against requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality expectations before they are promoted to production.
As a Business Analyst Intern, you will review the intake of business requests (collecting all relevant requirements, ensuring clarity), facilitate efficient, effective development, and conduct functional testing and quality assurance on code pushed to production environments using testing software.
In this internship, you will gain experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile development, project management tools (Jira and Asana), requirements gathering, cross team communications, and Quality Assurance/Quality Check (QA/QC).
