About the Role

We are seeking a Production Manager to lead the daily execution of production operations at our Shreveport Distribution Center. This role creates a critical management layer between the VP of Operations and frontline supervisors, ensuring production expectations translate into consistent execution across the operation.

The Production Manager will be responsible for building supervisor capability, managing daily production performance, and ensuring teams have the staffing, direction, and support needed to meet service, quality, safety, and productivity expectations.

The ideal candidate is a proven people leader who knows how to coach and develop supervisors while creating accountability and consistency across a fast-moving operation. This person should be adaptable, approachable, and comfortable making decisions and solving problems as production needs change.

Location: This role is based at our Distribution Center in Shreveport, LA. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

Schedule: This is an on-site role supporting second-shift production. The anticipated schedule is Sunday through Thursday, beginning around 1pm through the completion of production, with some flexibility based on operational needs.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily production operations to achieve established service, quality, safety, productivity, and compliance goals.
  • Manage, coach, and develop Production Supervisors, strengthening accountability and frontline leadership capability.
  • Monitor production performance, staffing, labor utilization, workflow, truck times, and quality measures and respond to material variances.
  • Coordinate resources across production areas to ensure work moves efficiently and customer commitments are achieved.
  • Build strong communication and collaboration across supervisors and production teams to ensure priorities, expectations, and operational needs are understood.
  • Identify recurring production barriers and partner with the VP of Operations, Continuous Improvement, and other leaders to address root causes and improve performance.
  • Maintain consistent application of operating procedures, performance expectations, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Foster a positive, accountable work environment where employees are supported, expectations are clear, and leaders follow through on commitments.

What Success Looks Like

  • Daily production commitments, truck times, and service expectations are consistently achieved.
  • Error rates, quality, safety, and productivity performance meet established standards.
  • Supervisors operate as a connected leadership team with increasing independence, accountability, and consistency across production areas.
  • Labor and resources are effectively deployed based on production needs and changing priorities.
  • Employee engagement, retention, safety, and accountability continue to strengthen.
  • Operational issues are increasingly resolved through the management structure rather than requiring VP-level intervention.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in distribution, production, warehouse operations, or a similar high-volume environment.
  • Previous experience leading and developing frontline supervisors strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage daily operating performance through others.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret operating metrics and translate performance information into action.
  • An adaptable, solutions-oriented approach and comfort leading in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical distribution or another highly regulated environment preferred.
