Division Support of Meadowood Mission:

The Meadowood Spa is a Sanctuary within the Garden of Meadowood and serves as a resource of Health, Wellness and Relaxation for our members and guests. We are teachers, providers and guides who live our work within a “Spirit of Service” for each other and ourselves. Position Summary:

The Spa Concierge exudes warmth and graciousness as the first and last impression of the Spa. This position includes working in reservations, as a greeter and in the spa and estate retail boutiques. They are knowledgeable on all spa treatments, products and the rest of the estate. They are well spoken and carry themselves with grace, impeccably groomed and set the tone of the spa.


Major Responsibilities & Work Activities:

  • Responsible for completing proper opening and closing procedures for the Spa.
  • Maintain control of the point of sale area and follow established procedures for cash drawer and computer terminal operations.
  • Be knowledgeable about all resort and spa packages, facilities, etc.
  • Provide information regarding programs, services and treatments to guests, assisting them in making choices whenever appropriate.
  • Schedule guest appointments both by phone and in person, according to procedures.
  • Oversee the operations of the Spa check in process including handling the reception of arriving and departing guests, cash and charge transactions for merchandise or spa services in the retail boutiques, and providing information to guests regarding programs and services.
  • Oversee the appointment book schedule to insure the following: ensure that guests are in-house to receive their treatments, ensure that therapists have been notified of their appointments, ensure that guests are properly informed and are paired with their appropriate therapists.
  • Oversee guests getting greeted and escorted to the proper area.
  • Ensure that guests experience the highest standard of hospitality and service during their visit to the Meadowood Spa.
  • Provide menu of services descriptions both over the phone and in person, provide spa tours, and assist guests whenever necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness of Spa living room, retail areas and reservations office.
  • Coordinate with all departments according to procedure, and when necessary, keep them informed to ensure a smooth flow in the guest experience.
  • Assist the Spa Leadership team with any special projects or in other areas as requested.

Experience Required:

Two years spa resort experience preferred. Retail experience preferred. Education, Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: High School education or GED


Special Skills/Abilities Required:

Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)/Interpersonal Skills: Must be outgoing and friendly.

Computer Skills: Familiar with point-of-sale programs.

Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills required.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to handle problems relating to scheduling and guest service


Physical Demands of Position:

Ability to stand for long periods of time. Able to complete a wide variety of tasks.


Working Conditions:

The Meadowood Spa is surrounded in natural beauty that is both indoors and outdoors. Reservations office is downstairs of the spa with natural lighting and window with cubical working stations. Retail and Guest Reception area are in natural lit areas and require standing during the shift.


Compensation:

The starting hourly rate for this position is $21 - $22 per hour + tips + retail commission

  • This is the rate Meadowood Napa Valley reasonably expects to pay. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education, and other job-related qualifications. This position is eligible for service charge distributions and gratuities in accordance with company policy. Total compensation varies and is not guaranteed.
